THE HISTORY OF GREEN CREEK GARDENS
I blame all of this on my husband, Walt. Totally his fault. We had decided it was time for me to quit my job as an elementary principal and homeschool my daughter, Kodee. Once the reality of a one income family hit, we began throwing around different ways I could bring in some income but still focus on our two kids. We tossed around the idea of baking pies (I make a mean Strawberry Rhubarb pie), rehabiliting injured horses and even going back to my roots of waitressing. Then one day, Walt casually tossed out growing flowers. He said and I quote, "We have the land, the water and you can grow anything so why not flowers?" And the rest, as they say, is history.
Each season is history in the making. We sure have had our mistakes along the way however, I can honestly say I have found my true passion. There have been many hurdles to overcome and by the grace of God, each and every time the path is cleared. I just love tending to each and every plant and how this garden, in turn, is growing our family together.
